The recently renovated Tapa Tower offers convenience, comfort and functionality for both leisure and business travelers. The Tapa Tower's own Tapa Conference Center is where the Pacific Basin Coal Conference meetings will take place and where the golf tour will depart from. Tapa refers to the traditional decorative cloth made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree and worn as a main fashion item in old Hawaii. The exterior of Tapa Tower is decorated with the tapa motif and the décor throughout the tower is a gentle blend of Polynesian-style designs from yesterday and today.
